File Preparation

3D printers need a 3D file to print.  These are created in CAD (computer aided design) software.

Our in-house technicians check each file before we print to ensure the best quality and reduce errors in printing.

We then optimise the file orientation to produce the best quality product on the chosen 3d printer.

File Thickening

The most common issue with 3D files we receive is the wall thickeness being too thin to print, requiring them to be thickened as each 3D printer has its own minimum wall thickness it can print. For example small objects and architectural models the walls such as thin posts and balustrades may need to be thickened in order for the printer to recognise them and to ensure the details of the design are retained in the print.
